Creating a Sanctuary for Adults Lost in Life, Neighborhood by Neighborhood: Tokyo's 24th Ward "Miteiku"

We are seriously developing a blank city as Tokyo's 24th ward.

This is a project to seriously develop "Miteiku," a fictional town where adults who haven't found answers regarding marriage, work, or their future can live with their lives still left blank. Set as the 24th ward of Tokyo, the story begins right outside a small local train station.

A unique atmosphere unfolds as you pass through the ticket gates.

Exiting the station gates, you find two wooden benches, and a little further ahead, the delicious aroma of baking bread drifts through the air. The scene at "Miteikei Station"—where people waiting for someone and people who don't want to go home yet sit together in front of the station—is depicted with exquisite detail.

The interaction at the bakery brings a gentle smile.

At the station's "Sonomuchi Bakery," croissants that didn't turn out quite as intended are sold just as they are. You will find yourself drawn in as the warm rule unique to this town—that not all failures need to be rejected—is introduced.
