Why the structure of escalators just doesn't make sense to me.

Escalators are an essential part of our daily commute. However, there are many moments where the "design" feels illogical, such as how the side-by-side rules change depending on the location, or how confusing the flow of movement becomes when changing floors. These small annoyances keep building up inside the host.

Supposedly convenient structures are creating inconvenience instead.
